The Bledow desert – or, as some prefer to call it, the Polish Sahara – has been flummoxing visitors for centuries. Its sprawling sands are entirely at odds with an otherwise verdant country that Błędów Desert (Polish: Pustynia Błędowska) is an area of sands between Błędów (part of Dąbrowa Górnicza in Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union) and the village of Klucze in Poland.
